Joshua Burnside Portland Concert reviews
Great show - Obstructed view
I purchased early pre-sale tickets and was disappointed by the section we were placed in; it should have been blocked off. Most people in my section ran to the left for the first set, then back to the right for the JT set, and eventually climbed over the field level wall to storm the GA floor. The sound/control structure blocked the left massive screen, entire ramp, and lower stage. It was not a good situation, and I felt particularly bad for my sister/guest.
The band's performance was great! They honored Chris Cornel with a moving version of Running to Stand Still, showcasing their energy and passion as if it were their first show. I have yet to be disappointed by a Joshua Burnside performance - soulful and heartfelt.
Having been to two shows prior, I knew what to expect in terms of which stage the band would perform on and when. Despite the poor seats, I would still rate the experience 4 stars.
